2011 Masters Golf Tournament
April 4, 2011

The 2011 Masters Golf Tournament will tee off this Thursday, April 7, at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. Some of the green jacket contenders to keep an eye on are superstars Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods, as well as less well known names like Nick Watney, Dustin Johnson, and Luke Donald. The Masters, along with the U.S. Open in June, the Open Championship in July, and the PGA Championship in August, is one of the four major men's championships in golf.

In many parts of the country, the weather is not yet temperate enough to get in 18 holes. If you live in one of these areas, you're probably anxious for your first chance to hit the greens. In the meantime, you can satisfy your drive with one of the many golf video and arcade games on the market. Some games serve as complete golf simulators with controllers that mimic golf clubs, scenery taken straight from some of the world's most reknowned golf courses, and on-screen tips to improve your swing. Those who aren't interested in a game that can improve their real-life swing might prefer the golf video games that use more traditional video game controllers and simulate the skill and excitement of a golf tournament without the full-on simulation.

If you're itching to get golfing, and watching the pros on TV isn't enough, try a golf video game to tide you over until the warm days of spring allow you to hit the course for yourself!
