Biodiesel has been around for over 100 years in one form or another. Today’s biodiesel was
actually the primary fuel for the original diesel engine that was designed by Dr. Rudolph
Diesel in 1892.

Both biofuels and fossil fuels are ultimately derived from living things. The distinction between biofuels and fossil fuel is essentially one of time. Fossil fuels come from plants (making coal) and tiny sea creatures (making oil and gas) that died millions of years ago, and were laid down in coal deposits, and in oil and gas fields. The key difference is that because of the time scale involved in the creation of fossil fuels, they are in effect finite—i.e. not renewable in our lifetimes (or indeed a million lifetimes). When they’re gone they’re gone.

Biofuels on the other hand, are renewable. We can just plant more, and if we plant them as
fast as we use them, they are a sustainable resource.

Steel Plumbing Benefits:
All of the PVC plumbing from our Elite Processor is converted to carbon-based steel. You still get all of the great benefits of the standard Elite Processor with the added benefit of having rigid, long-lasting steel plumbing. Recommended for those who will make three or more batches per week, or will store the Processor in direct sunlight.

Dry Wash Assembly:
Our special Dry-Wash Assembly will dramatically reduce your production time, since it requires significantly less hands-on time. The Dry-Wash Assembly is hard mounted to the processor, but is also removable for ease of cleaning. The unique media we include with the Dry-Wash System is reusable and will dry up to 25,000 gallons of biodiesel (500 gallons betweens cleanings x 50 refreshing cycles). When the processor is finished processing the WVO into Biodiesel, all you have to do is drain your glycerin, open the dry-wash ball valve, and set your timer. That’s it! When you return to your processor (2 hrs later), your Biodiesel will be dried, filtered, and put back into your main tank ready for dispensing. (To "refresh" the media, air dry and heat to a temperature of 450° F)

Provided Accessories:
  • Titration Kit
  • Personal Chemical Safety Kit
  • Phenolphthalein (pH indication solution)
  • 1000w Bucket Heater
  • Digital Scale
  • Siphon pump
  • 80 Mesh Stainless Steel Reusable Screen

What is biodiesel?
Biodiesel is the name of a clean burning alternative fuel, produced from domestic, renewable resources. Biodiesel contains no petroleum, but it can be blended at any level with petroleum diesel to create a biodiesel blend. It can be used in compression-ignition (diesel) engines with little or no modifications. Biodiesel is simple to use, biodegradable, nontoxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics.

How is biodiesel made?
Biodiesel is made through a chemical process called transesterification whereby the glycerin is separated from the fat or vegetable oil. The process leaves behind two products -- methyl esters (the chemical name for biodiesel) and glycerin (a valuable byproduct usually sold to be used in soaps and other products).

Is Biodiesel the same thing as raw vegetable oil?
No! Fuel-grade biodiesel must be produced to strict industry specifications (ASTM D6751) in order to insure proper performance. Biodiesel is the only alternative fuel to have fully completed the health effects testing requirements of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments. Biodiesel that meets ASTM D6751 and is legally registered with the Environmental Protection Agency is a legal motor fuel for sale and distribution. Raw vegetable oil cannot meet biodiesel fuel specifications, it is not registered with the EPA, and it is not a legal motor fuel.

For entities seeking to adopt a definition of biodiesel for purposes such as federal or state statute, state or national divisions of weights and measures, or for any other purpose, the official definition consistent with other federal and state laws and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines is as follows:

Biodiesel is defined as mono-alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids derived from vegetable oils or animal fats which conform to ASTM D6751 specifications for use in diesel engines. Biodiesel refers to the pure fuel before blending with diesel fuel. Biodiesel blends are denoted as, "BXX" with "XX" representing the percentage of biodiesel contained in the blend (ie: B20 is 20% biodiesel, 80% petroleum diesel).

Why should I use biodiesel?
Biodiesel is better for the environment because it is made from renewable resources and has lower emissions compared to petroleum diesel. It is less toxic than table salt and biodegrades as fast as sugar. Since it is made in the USA from renewable resources such as soybeans, its use decreases our dependence on foreign oil and contributes to our own economy.

Disclaimer: SaferWholesale does not warranty the biodiesel that you produce in the processor. You are solely responsible for the vehicle and the engine that you put your biodiesel in. While manufacturer’s warranties cover the craftsmanship of their diesel engine, they should not void a warranty due to use of high-quality biodiesel. However; if you use biodiesel that is not of high quality you can damage your diesel engine, and those malfunctions are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. If you are making biodiesel for your own use, you take on those responsibilities. If you are making biodiesel for someone other than yourself you will also take on those responsibilities for that person’s diesel engine.
Some vehicles pre-1993 do not have the proper fuel lines from the tank to the distribution block, so it is your responsibility to change those lines if needed. All post-1993 diesel vehicles have the approved lines for use with the biodiesel.

You are solely responsible for wearing proper safety equipment, and utilizing correct safety measures to ensure safe operation and chemical safety.

SaferWholesale is not responsible for accidents, fires, diesel engine failure, chemical related incidents, or damages cause by spills / leaks from the biodiesel processor.
