1996-2012 6.2L Remanufactured
Vortec Marine Engine 
We carefully select only the most premium, low-hour engines to professionally remanufacture. These engines all undergo a 15-point inspection to insure quality, reliability and durability.
To give you an idea of all that goes into our remanufactured engines… the engine block and cylinder heads are completely disassembled, baked and blasted, checked again for cracks (magnafluxed), then reassembled using only the finest components. The engine block is always decked to insure proper sealing with the cylinder heads. The crank is either turned, polished or replaced, new Federal Mogul teflon-coated hypereutectic pistons (standard to .030 over) are installed, new or remanufactured rods, new Melling oil pump and timing set, new Hastings rings, new brass freeze plugs, new marine roller cam shaft and roller lifters (in applicable applications), new Durabond main bearings, cam bearings and rod bearings are used in all engines.
Cylinder heads are 2-angle cut for proper seating, and all of our heads are resurfaced and not milled. Before shipping out each remanufactured engine, we pressure check, spin test and compression test the engine to ensure 100% quality and reliability.
Most of our remanufactured engines come with the valve covers, marine oil pan, circulation pump and timing cover installed, unless otherwise specified.

Late model 1996-2012 Vortec 6.2L marine engine (one-piece rear main seal, roller cam and roller lifters). This motor has been professionally remanufactured to meet or exceed GM OEM marine engine stock specifications. This 6.2L Vortec is rated at 325-350hp at the crank (depending on intake, carb or EFI, exhaust manifolds, etc). This 6.2L engine will work in all pre-1996 6.2L, 5.7L or 5.0L (305ci) applications with some modifications.
This 6.2L marine engine comes equipped with the following:- 6.2L GM marine engine (standard rotation)
- Steel Crank
- Corrosion resistant black urethane paint
- Rated at 340 hp @ 4500 rpm / 425 lb. ft. @ 3600 rpm (actual power levels may vary, depending on OEM calibration and application)
- Vortec cylinder heads, engine block and all internal components
- Roller cam and roller lifters
- 5-quart marine oil pan and valve covers
- Fel-Pro marine head gaskets
- Harmonic balancer, timing cover and circulation pump
- Will work in pre-1996 6.2L, 5.7L/5.0L applications with updated intake manifold and electric fuel pump
